Sushant Singh Rajput began his career in the entertainment industry on television before transitioning into the world of Bollywood. In 2013, he made his notable Hindi film debut with the film Kai Po Che! Following the success of this film, he went on to appear in several other films. However, it was his role in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, directed by Neeraj Pandey, which turned out to be a turning point in his career. The biopic was based on the life of one of India’s most celebrated cricketers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and Sushant played the titular character with exceptional talent, winning the hearts of the audience.
The sports drama first premiered in 2016 and now after 7 years it will be released once again to celebrate the legacy of India’s best cricket captain. The film will be re-released on May 12. On Thursday, Star Studios took to its official Instagram account and announced the relaunch with a poster. Next to it, the caption read: “Jab Mahi phir pitch pe aayega, pure India sirf” Dhoni! Dhoni! The Bollywood actor was found hanged in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14, 2020 under mysterious circumstances. The actor’s body was taken to Cooper Hospital for an autopsy.
