India’s third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3, was recently seen in space by the ROTUZ telescope (Panoptes-4). The spacecraft, launched by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is currently on an ambitious journey to explore the lunar surface.
The Manciano, Italy-based Virtual Telescope Project captured remarkable video of Chandrayaan-3 as it zipped through space toward the Moon. The images showed the spacecraft as a tiny dot against the vast backdrop of space, highlighting the enormity of its mission.
Chandrayaan-3’s main goal is to land a rover on the moon and conduct scientific experiments to study the lunar environment. This includes understanding the history, geology, and resource potential of the moon.
The spacecraft is expected to make a significant landing on the surface of the Moon on August 23, 2023. As the world watches, this mission marks a significant step in India’s space exploration efforts.
