Here is the full statement from Avon and Somerset Police:
“At 7.51pm we received a report that a lorry travelling on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between junctions 21 (Weston-super-Mare) and 20 (Clevedon) had collided with the central reservation before leaving the southbound carriageway.
“No other vehicle was involved and no serious injury was reported, but a man has been taken to hospital.
“Officers attended alongside emergency service colleagues and one lane on each carriageway was closed while they responded. Officers have now left the scene.
“Witnesses should call 101 using the reference number 5226212922.”
