Three lanes have been shut on the M6 near Warrington due to an accident. Traffic is building with the M62 also seeing queues close to Rishworth Moor. The closure on the M6 is between junction 21A and junction 21. This is affecting the southbound carriageway.
Emergency services are in attendance on both the M6 and M62.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and make alternative travel arrangements where possible.
