A player on the Los Angeles Chargers tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday night, the team has announced.
According to a team statement, the player “was immediately notified, began self-quarantine and the contact tracing process was initiated.”

The Chargers say the player’s close contacts have been identified and will participate in meetings remotely on Thursday. The team’s training facility will remain open while the normal practice and meeting schedule will be maintained.
Los Angeles is scheduled to travel to Denver on Sunday for an AFC West clash with the Broncos.
