One lucky Aussie could be $100million richer after Thursday night’s massive Powerball draw went off.
The jackpot climbed to $100million after no one claimed the top prize for five consecutive weeks, setting up the biggest Powerball draw in more than a year.
Up to half of Australian adults were expected to have bought a ticket for Thursday night’s draw.
The winning numbers for Powerball draw 1587 were 14, 24, 15, 3, 27, 32 and 30, while the Powerball was 16.
The sole division one winning ticket from NSW/ACT takes home to entire jackpot.
If the lucky winner is a sole ticket holder, they will walk away with Australia’s equal third-largest lottery prize on record.
Twelve division two winner will each pocket $172,306.45, while another 186 entries will share a $2.557million third division prize pool.
It is just the 13th time the jackpot has reached nine figures in the 30-year history of Powerball.
An earlier $100 million Powerball prize remains unclaimed after a winning ticket was purchased at Bondi Junction Newsagency in Sydney’s eastern suburbs in June 2025.
More to come.
If a single ticket holder wins the $100million Powerball, they will walk away with Australia’s equal third-largest lottery prize on record
