Chick-fil-A category motion lawsuit $4.4M settlement reportedly reached

Chick-fil-A has reportedly agreed to pay clients $4.4 million in rebates or present playing cards to settle a category motion swimsuit filed towards the chain for deceptive supply charges.

The Atlanta-headquartered firm confronted a swimsuit filed earlier this month in U.S. District Court docket for the Northern District of Georgia alleging the corporate had been “misleading and untruthful” in promising free or low-priced deliveries of orders through the Chick-fil-A app and web site.

The six plaintiffs within the swimsuit, two from Virginia and one every from Arkansas, Maryland, South Carolina and Texas, stated the meals chain added a “secret menu upcharge” for menu objects being delivered that made the corporate’s “promise of free or low-cost supply patently false,” in keeping with the grievance.
