ISLAMABADÂ Â -Â The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday announced that citizens between the age of 15 and 18 will be administered Pfizer jabs only free of cost.
In a statement, the NCOC also said mobile vaccination teams will go to schools and colleges to vaccinate students of the same age group. The forum said Registration Certificate (Form-B) of children will be required for their vaccination.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Covid cases have surpassed 1.2m mark with 3,480 new infections, taking the national tally to 1,201,367. Punjab has reported 1,345 cases over the past 24 hours, the highest among all provinces, followed by 1,120 detected in Sindh. Meanwhile, 82 coronavirus fatalities have been recorded in the country, and the death toll now stands at 26,662.
A breakdown of Covid-19 cases and deaths reported during the last 24 hours says that Punjab reported 1,345 cases and 27 deaths, Sindh 1,120 cases and 27 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 628 cases and 25 deaths, Islamabad 253 cases and 2 deaths, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 79 cases and 1 death, Balochistan 32 cases, while Gilgit-Baaltistan reported 23 such cases.
