Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed to accelerate the crackdown against sugar hoarders in the province.
In a statement issued on Saturday, he instructed to take stern action against the elements in the hoarding of sugar and other food commodities.
Meanwhile, district administration Lahore has initiated stern action against those who sell sugar at more than the fixed price. Special teams have been deployed at Sugar factories to monitor the sugar stocks.
A team led by Assistant Commissioner Raiwind, Adnan Rasheed sealed a general store for stocking sugar. A case was also registered against the owner of the store.
