Commuter road to be closed for hours after car strikes tree

– The A1 in Bedfordshire is closed northbound

– The road is closed between the A1(M)/A507 and the A6001 Biggleswade (north)

– A car left the carriageway and hit a tree at approximately 7.30pm on Monday, February 2

– Bedfordshire Police and emergency services are at the scene

– The road is expected to be closed for several hours

– Collision investigation work is being carried out
