Congressman Lee Zeldin announces 2022 run for New York governor, says â€˜its time to goâ€™ to Cuomo

New York Congressman Lee Zeldin announced on Fox News he will throw his hat in the ring and run against Andrew Cuomo for New York governor in 2022 because â€œthis guy has been there too long, itâ€™s time to go.â€

The Republican has been outspoken as of late on the embattled Andrew Cuomo following sexual harassment claims against the governor and his administrations poor handling of COVID-19 related nursing home deaths.

â€œAfter talking to New Yorkers who feel like this is a last stand, a last great opportunity to save New York and the fact that to save our state Andrew Cuomoâ€™s got to goâ€, Congressman Zeldin told Fox News.
