Could this be you? Joburg resident bags R63 million Lotto JACKPOT!

It’s definitely someone’s lucky day! A resident from Alberton, in the East Rand of Johannesburg has won the whopping R63 million Lotto jackpot. There’s no official statement from Ithuba yet on whether the player has come forward to claim their winnings. However the lottery operator on Twitter that the person had won the Saturday, 4 December jackpot.

Here are the winning numbers from that draw:

Lotto: 17, 26, 30, 38, 42, 46 Bonus: 14

Lotto Plus 1: 09, 20, 22, 31, 35, 46 Bonus: 49

Lotto Plus 2: 01, 15, 17, 20, 24, 47 Bonus: 35

Meanwhile Ithuba has also announced that a 69-year-old man from Chatsworth man, Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, recently won the R35.1 million Lotto Plus 1 jackpot. The lottery operator says the former salesman won the 1 December draw.

The retiree used the ABSA banking app to play the Lotto and spent R100 on a Quick pick.

“This is really unexpected, I am truly surprised. It came at the right time, since it is December and all the festivities are beginning,” the man told Ithuba.

This is the second millionaire KZN has produced, as a result of the Lotto wins. Earlier, a retired engineer bagged the R100 million Powerball jackpot recently.

Ithuba chief executive Charmaine Mabuza congratulated the winner.

“Ithuba values its partnership with ABSA Bank, where players have the convenience of playing any of their favourite lottery games directly through the banking app.”
