COVID-19 cases in Butte and Shasta counties are rising.
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – COVID-19 cases in Butte and Shasta counties are rising.
The CDC’s Wastewater Metric said in Butte County, COVID levels are 80 to 100 percent higher than the past historical average. The same can be said for Shasta County.
Over the past 15 days, detectable COVID levels in Butte County have more than doubled, the metric map says.
Wastewater data is used with other COVID-19 surveillance data to better understand COVID-19’s spread in communities.
To stay COVID-free, the CDC suggests staying up-to-date on vaccinations and practicing good hygiene.
