The two teams are about even on offensive plays — DAL: 31 PIT: 30 — but Dallas had a huge edge in totaly yards DAL: 202 PIT: 89.
The difference in the game right now is the two Dallas red zone turnovers. Dak Prescott is 15-of-20 for 179 yards and that interception, and he also fumbled the ball on a strip sack. The interception was his only bad miss of the first half, and the Cowboys do have a couple of chunk plays in the passing game.
The Steelers’ run defense has been as advertised — with Dallas averaging just 2.3 yards per rush on 10 attempts. The Pittsburgh quarterback controversy could kick into high gear this week as well, with Russell Wilson telling NBC Sports that he’ll be fully ready to go for Pittsburgh’s game next week, at the Raiders. Justin Fields hasn’t done much in the first half, going just 4-for-9 for 35 passing yards and 20 yards on the ground. Also, the Steelers are just 1-for-7 on third down through two quarters.
