A source close to the actress spoke about her recent achievements, adding: “Deepika Padukone has opened the doors for other Indian actors to sign up with global luxury brands. With her phenomenal appeal and popularity globally, she is the first Indian face that brand big boys are betting on.” From making her big Hollywood debut to attending the MET Gala and being a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival, Deepika has been a part of some of the events internationally, including the FIFA trophy presentation, as well as appearing on the cover of TIME magazine.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster. lout in which he essayed the role of a spy alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The actress will soon be seen in Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan. This is the first time she will be paired with the superstar and the movie is expected to revolve around the pilots. The aerial action animator, directed by Siddharth Anand, will also feature Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, among others, in pivotal roles.
