Delhi High Court notice to media portals on Das’ privacy plea – The Tribune

The Delhi High Court on Monday issued notices to right-wing columnist Abhijit Iyer Mitra and media platforms Pamphlet and Law Beat on a petition filed by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leader Saurav Das, who alleged that his residential address in Delhi and other personal information were disclosed publicly in violation of his right to privacy.

Justice Sachin Dutta issued notices to the respondents on Das’s plea seeking an interim restraint on the publication of his residential address and other information. The court also directed that the matter be listed after two weeks. The next hearing is on September 14.
