Delivery van hijacked in north Belfast

A delivery van in north Belfast has been hijacked on Tuesday afternoon.

he white Ford Transit van was parked outside an address in the Cliftonville Road area when the hijacking occurred at around 4.15pm
Detective Sergeant Duffield said: “The driver was parked up preparing to make a delivery.

“He was then pulled out of the van by the hood of his jacket and he fell on to the road. Thankfully, he was not injured. However, when he looked up, he saw a male in the driver’s seat.

“The hijacker then drove off in the van in the direction of the Oldpark Road.
“Our enquiries continue and I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed the white van in the area at that time or has dashcam footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference 1198 30/11/21.”
