The moment comes after DeSantis’ conversation on Twitter Space with David Sacks and Elon Musk came face to face with flaws while struggling to announce his 2024 presidential campaign.
“If you’re in Chicago or Baltimore, these kids have a better chance of getting shot than getting a decent education,” DeSantis said before he and Bolling appeared motionless on screen for nearly 20 seconds.
Newsmax later posted a YouTube video of the interview in which he replaced the freeze-frames with an animated press release graphic that aired seconds before, except the network slowed down the animation to fix the errors.
The failures weren’t the only instances of head-scratching from DeSantis’ Newsmax interview. The Republican candidate stated that he has been “bright colors” and not a “pale pastel” in terms of his political influence in Florida.
