“I think the problem is that we’ve had successive governments that either do not have a strategy, like the current Government, or they have people that are actually in charge of that Government that are simply not leaders.
“When I look at people like Rishi Sunak, nice guy, an accountant, probably a very good banker. Was he a leader? Absolutely not.
“I look at Keir Starmer, a lawyer who was actually very good at his job. A nice guy. Is he a leader? Absolutely not.
“Did he use the 14 years that he had to put in place a structure, a strategy and a policy that he could then run with? He didn’t even come to Downing Street equipped with that.
“Then a bunch of people that are amateurs, that are not able to put into action any strategy anyway.
“So if they had the right strategy, the right people in place, could they govern? Everybody would listen to them.
“That’s what we’re looking for,” Mr Banks declared.
