One of the most difficult items to get in Disney Dreamlight Valley is Seaweed. Now, this item isn’t difficult to get because it’s hard to find. The difficulty with it more comes in understanding the best way to farm for it.
If you’re needing to gather Seaweed, then you can find some laying around the beach. However, you’d be incorrect if you thought that this was the main way to get it. Instead, you’ll want to rely on your fishing rod to farm for Seaweed effectively in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
To find Seaweed and other items like it, you’ll simply want to fish in water without the bubbles and circles that you normally would for higher-quality fish. Grab your fishing buddy and then head over to a pond and cast your line away from the bubbling circles. You’ll also want to bring along some fruits or food, which will help you refresh your energy when it gets low.

Fishing can be a very lucrative thing in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but it’s also the best way to get Seaweed. Unfortunately, there isn’t really any guarantee about how much Seaweed you will catch while fishing. But, if you take a highly-ranked fishing companion along with you, you’ll have a higher chance of earning extra Seaweed drops when you do catch some.
There are, of course, plenty of other items to collect in Disney Dreamlight Valley, too. Items like Tomato Seeds can be handy for improving the amount of money and ingredients that you’re bringing in from your farms. You’ll also want to know plenty of information about mining for Iron Ore, a very helpful material that you can refine into Iron Ingots and use for crafting and friendship quests.
Additionally, if you complete various daily quests for fishing and other things, you can earn Dream Shards, which are used to purchase new regions and other things in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Of course, you can have all the Dream Shards in the world, but if you don’t have a lot of Stars, you won’t be able to afford all the fancy clothes and furniture that Scrooge offers in his store. Make sure you always learn how to farm Stars for some quick pointers on how to pack your wallet a bit more.
You can also upgrade the ship that Moana uses to gather fish and other goodies, but you’ll need to put a lot of work into that if you want to upgrade it and earn more rewards.
