A pup that was cozy under a blanket left TikTok viewers in stitches when she only responded to her owner after hearing she may be getting a special treat from Starbucks.
The video, which was shared to @mapleoat’s TikTok account where it was viewed more than 230,000 times, shows what appeared to be an empty bedroom. A piece published by BARK Post explained that Starbucks serves a “Puppuccino” to a customer’s furry friend. The treat consists of a small cup filled with whipped cream. There is no caffeine in the cup, and the organization said dogs can have one of these treats on special occasions.
“If you’re worried about whether you can give your dog a li’l whipped cream, consider running it past your vet first,” the piece stated.
@mapleoat’s video opened as Maple’s owner said he was “unable” to find her anywhere while panning around the grey and white bedroom where a white fluffy blanket was on the bed.
“Well, that’s a bummer because I was going to go to Starbucks and get her a pup cup,” he said.
Suddenly, the blanket began to move and Maple popped up. Her owner immediately burst out laughing before the video ended.
He wasn’t the only one who found Maple’s prompt interest in a Starbucks run hilarious; many viewers shared their delight over the viral video in the comments section.
“A material girl,” a viewer commented.
Wrote another, “She’s like ‘I’m right here dad don’t leave without me.'”
Some viewers commented that they were able to relate to Maple themselves.
“This is how my bf gets me out of bed on the weekends too,” a viewer wrote.
“I identify as maple,” commented another.
Newsweek reached out to Maple’s owners for further comment but did not hear back in time for publication.

Maple isn’t the only pup that captured the hearts of viewers on the Internet in a viral video.
Newsweek previously reported that a video shared on TikTok showing a puppy trying to stay awake while drinking some milk has been viewed more than 11 million times. He laid his head on the rim of the bowl and took a few drinks of the milk while half-awake.
One video, shared on Reddit, showed a dog teaching her puppies a lesson in patience as she fed them.
Another video was shared on TikTik where it was viewed more than two million times showing a young puppy appearing to throw a temper tantrum.
