Former president donald trump has devised a series of nicknames for Florida governor ron desantis and the latest to win his endorsement, “Ron DeSoros,” links him to a popular target of right-wing resentment.
Trump, in a social truth post on Wednesday, he shared a Twitter user’s post removing the new moniker following other attempts by the former president, including “Ron DeSanctus” and “Ron DeSanctimonious,” to burn his likely top challenger in 2024.
Trump, in response to the user’s post, wrote that it was “classic.”
“So much for Ron and anti-vaccine. Also, he got the shot and the booster, he just doesn’t talk about it. It also closed Florida and its beaches,” wrote Trump, who previously denied use of nickname “rum meatballs.”
“I don’t know how to spell ‘DeSanctimonious.’ I don’t really know what it means,” he said.
“But you know, I like it. It is long. It has many vowels. I mean, so, we’d go with that. Alright.”
