LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – The City of Eagle Pass took to their Facebook page to let the public know about the public safety surrounding a possible active shooter.
From the Facebook page of Eagle Pass Police Department:
“Earlier today, the Eagle Pass Police Department received a concerning 911 call regarding a possible active shooter threat at Armando Cerna Elementary. Our officers immediately responded to ensure the safety of the students and staff. Upon arrival, it was learned that Eagle Pass ISD Police and ISD Staff had already been made aware of the situation prior to our notification.
While the Eagle Pass Police Department was not immediately informed at the earliest stage, we remain fully committed and ready to assist in any investigation involving potential threats to our community and schools. The safety and well-being of our children, schools, and residents will always remain our top priority.”
