Earthquake rocks South Australia

A magnitude 3 earthquake has been recorded near Burra in South Australia’s mid-north region.

Geoscience Australia reported that the earthquake hit at 7.35am with a depth of about 9km.

Nearly 50 people reported feeling the quake.

Burra is about 165 km north of Adelaide.

Small earthquakes are not unusual for the state’s mid north, and a number were recorded in the area in the past month.
