Join the Southeast Asia EcoHack 2024, a virtual hackathon for young innovators tackling environmental challenges. Scheduled for July 6-7, 2024.

The Green Talent Generation is thrilled to announce the Southeast Asia EcoHack 2024. Set for July 6-7, 2024, this virtual event aims to gather young innovators from across Southeast Asia, providing a platform for addressing pressing environmental challenges through sustainable travel solutions. Participants will engage in crafting actionable strategies that not only address critical ecological concerns but also promote sustainable travel practices within the region.

Participants aged 18 to 35 from any of the 11 Southeast Asian nations are invited to form teams of 3 to 6 members and compete in the Southeast Asia EcoHack 2024. This competition highlights four crucial topics: Renewable Energy Solutions, Climate Smart Agriculture, Air Pollution, and Circular Economy and Waste Management.

In the Renewable Energy Solutions category, teams will delve into cutting-edge energy technologies to replace fossil fuels, with a focus on solar, wind, and hydro power innovations. For Climate Smart Agriculture, contestants will work on reducing carbon emissions and air pollution in farming by integrating sustainable practices and precision techniques.

The Air Pollution challenge addresses the need for strategies to monitor and reduce cross-border pollution, aiming to enhance health outcomes across Southeast Asia. The Circular Economy and Waste Management category encourages minimizing waste through better recycling processes and sustainable product life cycles.

Adding a travel dimension, the event offers significant incentives: the top three teams will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Bangkok, Thailand, for a special conference and site visit on September 14-15, 2024. During this visit, winners will pitch their solutions to industry leaders, which could help secure funding and boost media visibility. They will also tour leading local companies, gaining valuable insights and exploring potential partnerships.

Registration for the Southeast Asia EcoHack 2024 is open until June 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. Thailand time.
