June 25 (Reuters) – Most Middle Eastern stock markets closed lower on the Sunday before Eid-Al-Adha, with the Egyptian stock market underperforming the region.
benchmark (.EGX30) fell 2.4% while the Omani market (.MSX30) bucked the trend to end with a 0.3% gain.
Many investors prefer to cash in on holdings ahead of the Eid holiday, which lasts a week in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and at least three days in other Gulf countries.
