KARACHI, Pakistan, Dec 2 (Reuters) – Gunmen attacked a bus close to the city of Chilas in northern Pakistan on Saturday, killing eight passengers and injuring at the very least 15, district and regional officers mentioned.
Muhammad Ali Johar, a spokesman for the regional authorities, mentioned militants had opened hearth on the bus on Saturday night and the wounded had been taken to a neighborhood hospital.
No group instantly claimed duty for the assault and the motive for the taking pictures was not clear.
Chilas lies within the mountainous area of Gilgit Baltistan, close to the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the place assaults have been rising in recent times, together with some claimed by the Pakistani Taliban, or Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
