Eighteen European mobility firms and start-ups have joined forces to launch the EU Future Mobility Taskforce.
The taskforce was formally launched in a gathering with the European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Vălean, in Brussels this week, with the purpose of “offering steering to policymakers for the subsequent legislative mandate within the space of innovation and startups within the transportation sector”.
Vălean welcomed the group’s launch and urged transport entrepreneurs to use for brand spanking new funding made obtainable by the European Innovation Council.
The taskforce mentioned that its members’ widespread challenges embody outdated and fragmented regulation, lack of enforcement, market entry limitations, entry to finance and information accessibility, and that its first enter shall be a complete report detailing the collective insights and proposals of its members.
