KATHMANDU, June 18 – The Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA), organized the 18th Free Medical Camp at Shree Siddheshwar Basic School, Lalitpur on Saturday.
The free medical camp was jointly inaugurated by Umair Ali, Charge d’affaires (ai) of Pakistan, Dr. Manju Ratna Sakya, Chairman of Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA), Gajendra Maharjan, Mayor of Godawari Township and Mr. Raj Ghimire, Chairman, District 3 Godawari Township.
Nepalese doctors and paramedics (who had graduated from various medical institutions in Pakistan) provided free services. Free medical treatment and three months of medicines were provided to more than 400 men, women and children.
In his remarks, Umar Ali, Chargé d’Affaires (ai) said that the Free Medical Camp is a reflection of the close interpersonal relations between Pakistan and Nepal. He thanked NPFCA, doctors and paramedical personnel for upholding the spirit of service to humanity by organizing the free medical camp. The Charge d’Affaires (ai) reiterated Pakistan’s continued support for such medical camps in the future as well.
