The EU on Friday condemned a “malicious cybercampaign” against Germany and the Czech Republic blamed on Russia and warned it would use a “full spectrum” of tools to respond.
The bloc attributed the cyberattacks to a “Russia-controlled” cyberwarfare unit called Advanced Persistent Threat Actor 28 (APT28), following a public assessment by Germany. It said APT28 had previously targeted other EU countries, including Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia and Sweden.
