EXCLUSIVE: Lebogang Manyama’s Kaizer Chiefs future dissected!

Lebogang Manyama‘s current contract with Kaizer Chiefs is coming to an end in exactly a week, and TheSouthAfrican.com has information on the player’s future.

Having joined Chiefs upon his return from Turkey in August 2018, Manyama is in the final seven days of his three-year contract with the club.

And a number of Amakhosi supporters are waiting with baited breath to hear if Manyama will still be at Naturena next season.

Now, the latest information is that the management have recommended that Manyama be offered a new deal as they feel he’s still critical to their plans going forward.

And that’s according to a source privy to the player’s situation who asked to remain anonymous.

“The management is aware that his contract is coming to an end next week,” the source told TheSouthAfrican.com.

“In addition, they have actually recommended that he be offered a new deal,” added the source.

However, the source said the only person left to rubber stamp Manyama’s stay or decide otherwise is newly-appointed coach Stuart Baxter.

“The coach will have to decide at the end of the day, and he will do so very soon because Manyama and other players also want to know what is happening,” added the source.

“So, the ball is in Stuart’s court,” concluded the source.

After struggling to rediscover his old form in his debut season with Chiefs, Manyama somewhat showed what he was capable of in the last two campaigns as he contributed goals and assists for the team.

Manyama has 15 goals and 15 assists and 87 competitive appearances since joining the Glamour Boys three years ago.
