The box office can be quite unpredictable and for a change, this Friday has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Zara Caps Zara Kids, starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, opened beyond expectations. According to early estimates, its first-day collections are in the range of Rs. 5.25 crore and Rs. Rs 5.75 crore, which is much better than some of the biggest films that have been released in the post-pandemic world. One of the factors that worked in its favor was that viewers were offered a buy one get one free ticket offer if they booked their tickets on the popular ticketing app, BookMyShow. Since the offer was submitted, a sudden increase in ticket sales for the film was observed.

Initially, the offer was valid only for Friday, that is, the day of the launch. But on Friday night, the offer was extended to Sunday, June 4. According to the trade, this will attract more audience to theaters for Zara Caps Zara Kids.
Interestingly, this offer is not the only reason that attracts the public to see the dramatic comedy. An official at a multiplex in Mumbai said bollywood hungama, “The buy one get one free ticket offer can only be taken if tickets are booked online. But we saw many viewers buying tickets at the counter where the offer is not valid. This shows that viewers come to see the movie not only because of the offer, but also because they are genuinely interested in the product.”
A manager at another Mumbai multiplex commented: “Manufacturers went for normal prices and not blockbuster prices. On top of that, viewers got a free ticket through the offer. And even without the offer, reasonable prices played a part, especially when the other movie of the week, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, has slightly inflated ticket fees. Also, Zara Caps Zara Kids is a clean entertainer, geared towards families. The song ‘Phir and what do you want’ It worked great.”
He continued, “IPL season is over and people want to go out for leisure and entertainment. Another factor is that there was no major Hindi release in May except Kerala’s history. Many have not seen a Hindi movie in a long time on the big screen and Zara Caps Zara Kids checked all the boxes. He has arrived at the right time ”.
