SILVERLAKE, Calif. — MidEast Tacos began as a pop-up restaurant close to the USC campus, fusing two distinguished Los Angeles cuisines, Mexican and Center Jap. Its recognition spurred the homeowners to determine a brick and mortar location.
“I wished to do one thing totally different, one thing I grew up with in Los Angeles as an Armenian child, and Mexican meals and Mexican tradition had an enormous inspiration in my private life,” stated MidEast Taco chef and co-founder Armen Martirosyan.
The fusion idea provides steak and rooster kebab tacos and burritos alongside their signature falafel tacos.
“It is actually nice. The falafel, I’d have eaten that simply by itself, however it was nice within the taco with all the mixture of elements,” stated Tal Vigderson a visitor from neighboring Los Feliz.
