Farmers call off protest

Islamabad     –      –  The Kissan Ittehad on Tuesday called off their protest demonstration after successful negotiations with Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif. After successful dialogues Islamabad Capital Traffic Police removed all diversions and obstacles from Khayaban Chowk of Faisal Avenue. In a tweet, the spokesman to Islamabad police also confirmed the development. For the last seven days, the protesting farmers were demanding decrease in utility bills, taxes and urea price. According to sources, the negotiations between representatives of Kissan Ittehad and PM Mian Shehbaz Sharif took place at PM Office. The negotiations were successful and the leaders committed to call off their protest on the condition that their demands would be accepted
