Tributes are flowing for a 17-year-old girl who died in a motorcycle crash in South Australia’s south east earlier this month.
Rachel Harris died on December 12 after crashing a motorbike on Custon Road at Wolseley, near Bordertown.
Emergency services responded to the crash at about 8am that Saturday morning but she died at the scene, making the Year 11 student the 18th motorcycle rider killed on SA roads this year.

Comments on social media have flooded in for Miss Harris’ mother Anna, father Stuart, who is known as Harry, and sister Matilda.
“My heart breaks to hear the passing of your beautiful daughter Rachel. Sending my love, thoughts and prayers to u and your family at this hard time,†one user wrote.
“Anna, Harry and Matilda. My heart bleeds for you, sending my love and deepest sympathy at this very sad time,†a second person commented.
“Anna, Harry, Matilda & family, We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and love go to you all at this very hard time. Sending all of our love. RIP Rachel,†a third person posted.
The teenager was a student at Bordertown High School and an avid netballer who played for Mundulla Netball Club.
Miss Harris also had a passion for horse riding.
A letter was sent last Tuesday from Bordertown High School’s Principal Marks Trnovsky informing parents and students of Miss Harris’ passing.
“Rachel Harris was a well-liked, caring, friendly student at our school,†the letter read.
“She was a very keen agriculture student and will be greatly missed.
“Our sincere condolences to Rachel’s family and friends. Our thoughts are with them at this sad time.â€
Grieving students were offered counselling.
Miss Harris was remembered at a funeral service on Monday.
