An alligator snapping turtle, with a jaw specialists say can break by bone, was noticed dwelling by a lake in Cumbria.
The animal is native to swamplands of the southern US equivalent to Florida, has a tough and rugged shell in addition to a pointy and broad jaw.
Vets mentioned regardless of not getting used to the cooler local weather within the UK, the turtle, who has been named Fluffy, was comparatively wholesome, though a bit of torpid when first introduced in. The turtle will quickly be transferring to a specialist wildlife centre in Cornwall
