Food Entrepreneur Expo to offer new digital experience

KANSAS CITY — The editors of Food Business News invite industry professionals to participate in a new interactive online tasting event sponsored by Sosland Publishing Company. The first-ever digital Food Entrepreneur Expo will be held as part of the Trends and Innovations Web Series presented by Food Business News on Aug. 26 and will feature the latest innovation from emerging brands.

How it works: Registrants will receive a curated box of 10 to 15 ready-to-eat, shelf-stable product samples representing leading industry trends. A live webinar on Aug. 26 will showcase the founders behind the brands, while viewers may taste and vote for the best product. Prizes will be awarded to the “best in show” and “editors’ choice” brands.

“The coronavirus pandemic has canceled dozens of industry events, limiting opportunities for up-and-coming brands to drive trial of hot new products,” Ms. Watrous said. “With the Food Entrepreneur Expo, we hope to offer a different and more interactive experience for retail buyers, marketers, product developers, ingredient suppliers and founders to remain engaged with the top trends from the safety of home.”

The Trends and Innovations Web Series includes four free, 30-minute digital presentations by industry thought leaders and tackling such critical topics as e-commerce, plant protein and consumer eating patterns. The Food Entrepreneur Expo is an upgraded experience available to a limited number of participants for $85.
