The prison detention of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is related to charges of leaking state secrets it was extended for another two weeks, his lawyer said Wednesday.
His prison custody has been extended until September 26, his lawyer Naeem Panjutha said in a post on the messaging platform X, formerly Twitter.
Khan has been in prison since early August, having previously been convicted on corruption charges and sentenced to three years.
Last month, a higher court suspended his sentence, but a previous preventive detention order in the state secrets case prevented his release.
