The hospitality and dining arm of the Bharti family office has appointed Rohan Pewekar as Chief Executive Officer to lead its portfolio of global restaurant brands, including PizzaExpress and Chili’s in India.
In his new role, Pewekar will oversee the strategic direction and operations of the group’s restaurant business, which also includes brands such as P.F. Chang’s and Olive Garden. His mandate includes strengthening brand presence, accelerating expansion, enhancing customer experience, and building organisational capabilities to support the next phase of growth.
Pewekar brings close to two decades of experience across strategy, finance, and operations in consumer-facing businesses. He most recently served as Managing Director for Pizza Hut in the Indian subcontinent at Yum! Brands, where he led operations and expansion across the region. He also previously held the role of Chief Strategy and Finance Officer for Pizza Hut India, contributing to business performance and channel expansion.
Earlier in his career, he has worked with Samsung Electronics and Accenture, gaining experience in strategy and transformation. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
Commenting on the appointment, Ramit Bharti Mittal said the dining segment in India is witnessing rapid evolution, with consumers increasingly seeking premium and differentiated experiences. He added that Pewekar’s blend of strategic and operational expertise positions him well to lead the business’s next growth phase.
Pewekar said he looks forward to building on the group’s portfolio of globally recognised brands and delivering high-quality dining experiences across the country.
