Rhode Island ranks second in US for vaccinations

Rhode Island is one of the national leaders in vaccinations.

The state is number 2 and second only to Massachusetts.

According to the WHO, vaccines prevent between 4 and 5 million deaths a year worldwide.

Rhode Island ranks first in proportion of teens ages 13 to 17 with the up-to-date HPV vaccine.

Additionally, Rhode Island leads in adult flu vaccination rates.

To find out which states vaccinate the most, WalletHub analyzed all 50 states and the District of Columbia across 16 key metrics, ranging from the share of children vaccinated to the share of uninsured people to the flu vaccination rate among adults.
