Tirana’s Gzona restaurant sits in a touristic quarter of downtown, a spot of trinkets and memorabilia, wineries and connoisseur meals that was as soon as the area of the Toptani household, the town’s medieval rulers.
With a chef made well-known by his look on the Albanian model of Grasp Chef, Gzona provides conventional dishes with a twist, equivalent to onion and tomato byrek, cow mind and cauliflower cooked on coal, and beetroot gnocchi with smooth mishavine cheese from the Kelmend space of northern Albania.
It counts Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj amongst its VIP clientele; the European Union’s former ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca, has dined there, as has the bloc’s international coverage chief, Josep Borrell.
