Sindh Prime Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has called for tackling the challenges of poverty, food insecurity and climate change in a scientific way by promoting research and information technology in educational institutions.
Addressing the 24th inaugural lecture of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences at the University of Karachi, he said the Sindh government has specified International Centers for science and technology.
The Chief Minister said that five more research centers are also being established in cooperation with the International Science and Technology Centers.
He said the government is determined to promote and protect the province’s universities and research centers.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that efforts are being made to improve laboratory infrastructure and solve problems in the health and agriculture sectors.
