According to a Buc-ee’s spokesperson, the first Buc-ee’s gas
station in North Carolina will officially break ground in Mebane on June 10.
The Mebane location is on a 34-acre site that will be the first in North
Carolina and will be approximately 75,000 square feet larger than the closest
location in Florence, South Carolina.
The Mebane location plans to open its doors in late 2027, according to a
Buc-ee’s spokesperson. It will be located along Trollingwood-Hawfields Road,
near the I-40/I-85 interchange.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation has been
working with Buc-ee’s to create more access points for the gas station.
