Hansal Mehta, who has directed a hugely successful web series Scoop about the dastardly murder of J Dey, has decided to offer any and all help she needs.

While Hansal does not wish to go on record on this critical matter, a close friend of the acclaimed filmmaker revealed: “Hansal read the report and immediately took action. Long before making the series, he was deeply shocked and moved by Dey’s murder. Now that he’s done the series, he feels closer to Dey’s story than before.”
Hansal will do everything possible to provide assistance to Dey’s sister Leena. But as the source revealed, “He wouldn’t like to talk about it. Extracting publicity from what is a normal natural act of humanism is sick. This is how Hansal feels. What happens between Hansal and Dey’s family will not be in the public domain.”
Scoop, which airs on Jio Cinema, is inspired by the arrest and trial of royal journalist Jigna Vora for the murder of J Dey. The show, in which Karishma Tanna plays the central character, is adapted from Jigna Vora’s book ‘Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison’. The show also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Harman Baweja.
