A day after it extended the deadline for the highest pension option to June 26, the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) on Wednesday issued instructions to allow changes to claims. The EPFO has added two facilities through which members can delete and reapply.
“There have been many representations from pensioners/members with requests to provide an online service to correct errors in their opt/joint validity application and to upload files. Consequently, in the online functionality, employees have been provided with a ‘Delete Request’ button. The employee after deleting the application can, thereafter, if she wishes, submit a new application for the validation of the option / joint option with the correct details / loads, ”says the circular of the EPFO.
