‘Hitman 3’ launch trailer and Early Access: What you need to know

As we are approaching the release of IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 release on 20 January 2021 – on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Stadia, and PC – many fans are still in the dark about Early Access.

Hitman 3 will also be available on the previous-gen consoles: PlayStation4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, it will also be released for Nintendo Switch as a cloud-based game.

There is, however, still an opportunity to pre-order the game as well. But where does that leave us with Early Access? Let’s take a look.

Just in case we forget, IO Interactive reminded us that “Agent 47 returns as a ruthless professional in Hitman 3 for the most important contracts of his entire career”, and added:

“This is the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy.”

We’ll get to the details of Early Access (or lack thereof) in just a second. But first, have you seen the new launch trailer?

The countdown is on and IO Interactive released the launch trailer on 18 January 2021. Do note, this video carries an age restriction and may not be suitable for younger viewers.

‘Hitman 3’ Early Access

Hitman 3 Early Access remained a mystery just days ahead of the AAA title’s release. We are sad to announce that there will be no early access for Hitman 3 before 20 January.

The only thing you can do would be to pre-load the game ahead of its release – if you’ve pre-ordered – so that it’s ready to roll as soon as IO Interactive releases the much-anticipated game.

That said, IO Interactive does offer an Access Pass feature which enables you to access content from select titles within the franchise. IOI explained that if you already have the content, getting a pass on the same platform will be free of charge.

“If you buy the ‘Hitman 2’ Standard Access Pass DLC for ‘Hitman 3’, you’ll get access to the locations and missions included in the ‘Hitman 2’ Standard Edition within ‘Hitman 3′”.

‘Hitman 3’ pre-order details

If you pre-order, you’ll get the exclusive Trinity Pack, which includes nine in-game items to sweeten the deal a bit. The Trinity Pack includes three monochromatic outfits for Agent 47.

Might as well look dashing while Agent 47 goes around doing what he does best: assassinating. In addition, the exclusive deluxe edition comes with the game (if pre-ordered) will come with the following goodies:

• Deluxe suits and items.
• Escalations, 
• The World of Hitman digital book,
• The digital soundtracks
• Director commentary.
