A home exploded in Loudoun County, Virginia, Friday night, trapping a firefighter within the basement.

Firefighters on the scene dispatched a number of mayday requires the fireplace within the 300 block of Silver Ridge Drive in Sterling — one saying a firefighter was “trapped by particles.”
