Hong Kong braces as Super Typhoon Saola is on track to hit the city

Hong Kong is bracing for a possible direct hit from Super Typhoon Saola, which is shaping up to be the strongest storm to hit the city in at least five years.

The government said it will hold a press conference at 4:30 p.m. local time to inform the public about plans to deal with the typhoon, which is expected to come closer on Friday and Saturday. Schools will remain closed on Friday, local media TVB reported, without citing anyone.
