South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it received a call at about 10,26am to a road traffic collision on the M4 JCT 32-30, where a vehicle being towed was overturned.
A SWFRS spokesperson said cews from Duffryn and Whitchurch attended the scene and righted the vehicle.
They also poured granules on the ground where fuel had leaked.
The spokesperson said: “This incident has now been handed over to the police and Highways Agency.”
