Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday did not attend the digital assembly of the opposition INDIA bloc citing a scheduled programme. He additionally stated the get together had already knowledgeable (the opposition bloc) about its incapacity to attend the assembly.
“There should not be any misunderstanding on this regard. I’ve expressed my incapacity to attend the assembly as I needed to attend a scheduled programme which concerned a whole lot of shifting round. In such a state of affairs, attending the assembly would have been troublesome,” Mr Thackeray stated.
Leaders of the bloc met nearly and mentioned numerous features of the alliance and the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, due in April-Could.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) chief is visiting the Kalyan-Dombivli Lok Sabha constituency, at present represented by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, son of Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde.
Kalyan-Dombivli is the stronghold of CM Shinde.
